Uttarakhand is characterized by busy towns and quiet hill stations. This beautiful state of India is shaded by the Himalayan peaks and lowland forests. Uttarakhand is a common option for trekkers, the second highest peak in India being hosted by the State. In Uttarakhand, there are 10 treks.

 

  1. Bali Pass trek

 

The Bali Pass is the Trek to Yamunotri, the place of the Holy River Yamuna, via the Shrine of the Govind Wildlife. The site is home to green pastures, trees, and wildlife and crosses several river banks such as Ton and Siyan Gad. On the Bali Pass, you can reach the holy Yamunotri Shrine up the Ruinsara Valley.

 

  1. Chopta Chandrashila Trek

 

The Chopta is an area covered with evergreen forest and wildlife that is part of the Kedarnath Wildlife Shrine. The woods of deodars, pines, and rhododendrons are brightly colored. The Chandrashila tour gives you a magnificent view of the Trishul, Nanda Devi, and Chaukhamba peaks. During winter, Tungnath Temple and Chandrashila are covered in ice, and this place is known for its snowfall and ice-capped mountains as Mini Switzerland.

A high-altitude trek suited to seasoned trekkers. Auden Col trek. Auden’s mountain pass links Rudugaira valley with the valley of Bhilangna. You will be witnessing the splendor of the glacier Khatling and the river Rudra Ganga. Every year many tourists cross the pass from Col Auden to walk from Gangotri to Kedarnath, however arduous the trek might seem.

 

  1. Roopkund Trek

 

On this exciting journey to Roopkund, you can find a glacier lake locally called the Mystery and Skeleton Sea. The name of the place comes from the human skeletons that can be seen on the lake ground when the snow melts. The place is ideal, with mountains covered with snow and grasslands of Bedni Bugyal. From Roopkund the views are visible from Trishul, Nanda Ghunti, and Badrinath peaks.

 

  1. Satopanth Lake Trek

 

The Satopanth lake lies within the shadows of the powerful peaks of the Himalayas. The triangular form of the lake is very important and religious and is said to be a place of splendid days for the Trimoortis, Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva to be bathed. The rarity of birds found here is thought to be the disguised Gandharvas who protect the lake.

 

  1. Rupin Pass Trek

 

Rupin Pass Trek includes pulsating glaciers trail, snowy fields, Rhododendrons, and lush wetlands. The trek is an exciting time for the nerves when passing hamlets, ascending the snowy parts, and crossing the streams. The incredible thing about this tour is that it starts from Uttarakhand and ends with a beautiful view over the Kinner Kailash at Himachal Pradesh.

 

  1. Dayara Bugyal – Dodital Trek

 

Dayara Bugyal-Dodital walk takes you on an alpine trekking path along with a canopy of oaks, deodars, and pine trees. In the winter season, skiing becomes the favorite sport of visitors when the place is completely ice-creamed. A treat for your eyes is Barnala Lake on the ridge with its smart green water.

 

  1. Gomukh Tapovan Trek

 

Even for novice travelers with few challenging terrains and difficult weather to combat, Gomukh Tapovan’s journey is an appealing one. The flora and fauna here are beautifully enjoyable, whether it be the coniferous pine trees at Chirbasa and birch at Bhojwassa or the herd of the mountain goats along the ridges. The Gomukh Glacier, with several other peaks visible only a few kilometers away from Bhojwassa.

 

  1. Har Ki Dun Trek

 

The trek leads you across Har Ki Dun trek on a relatively low height where wetlands are abundantly inhabited by uncommon varieties of herbs and shrubs. Har Ki Dun is a place of great religious significance for the Hindus and is known as the Pandavas peak. In the neighboring area, Jaundar and Swargarohini can be seen during the hike.

 

  1. Kedartal Trek

 

The Trek Kedartal has a spectacular view of the glacial lakes and unusual and native animals like hard (blue cattle), Goral, black bear of the Himalayan, and amazing peaks. But the journey through seems difficult, all that is worthwhile. The tour starts in Gangotri and goes to Kedarnath and Bhoj Kharak before going up to Kartal.
